“Om advert they don’t give you dull address when you follow the dot on map it takes you to a building who have note on door that someone is advertising this as guest hous it’s not the place. Than I contact the place they gave me address which is other side of address which seems to be a council building falt. There is no lock on front door so anyone can walk in. Flat is filthy and smelly. Room is worst ever I been. Bed not made up seems like someone just walk out of it. There are God toys hanging on cabinet. There are some Chinese student living at falt. Spoke to property manager her reply was it is what it is. Saty or leave.
I didn’t stay in that room spoke to agoda customer service for refund but agoda was useless. Slept in my car. Please never book that place”

“It’s not a hotel or an apartment. It’s an old council tower block at 444 and they know no one will actually stay there as it’s a dump. No front door lock and no locks on internal hovel. It’s a brazen scam and the parking is on the street with hourly parking meters. This area has several murders and is an unsafe place. Agoda don’t give refunds or remove this, but GCC will eventually for this fraud.”

“Drove 3 hours to get there, address was incorrect. Dodgy lady gave me an address that looks like council housing. Derelict apartment which has bad smell. Room looked like it housed POWs back in the day. Toilet shared amongst 3. Nothing provided. No towel for a shower, no coffee/ tea/ water. No lock ok the main door, host said it was to be left open. Padlock provided for the room. That blew my mind. Host even smirked- ‘ did you think this was a hotel?’ And all this for £60. Felt so unsafe in such an estate I left and didn’t stay the night. Host refused to refund sadly. It’s a modern scam and I got scammed so you please don’t. 😭”
