“The hotel location was perfect for us”

“I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Aetas Lumpini Hotel during my visit to Bangkok on April 19th through 20th, 2024, and I must say, it exceeded all my expectations. From the moment I stepped into the hotel lobby, I was greeted with warmth and professionalism, setting the tone for an unforgettable stay.

One of the highlights of my experience was the exceptional service provided by the hotel concierge, Boy. His extensive knowledge of the area and willingness to go the extra mile in assisting me with directions and recommendations truly enhanced my trip. Whether I needed guidance on navigating the bustling streets of Bangkok or suggestions for nearby activities, Boy was always there to lend a helping hand.

The accommodations at the Aetas Lumpini Hotel were equally impressive. My room was spacious, elegantly furnished, and boasted panoramic views of Lumpini Park. The attention to detail, from the plush bedding to the modern amenities, ensured a comfortable and relaxing stay.

Furthermore, the hotel’s central location made it the perfect base for exploring the vibrant city of Bangkok. With Lumpini Park just steps away, I was able to enjoy peaceful morning walks amidst lush greenery before diving into the bustling city life. Boy’s recommendations for local attractions and dining spots added an extra layer of excitement to my adventure.

“Bangkok is an exceptional city for accomodations. With a wide range of all types of hotels, categories in every location of this sprawling capital.
Make sure you do your research based on what you want to do and where you want to go first before confirming a hotel booking (Google Hotels is recommended for your search as it aggregates all options best).
If you find value to book Aetas Lumpini, here are my personal thoughts on the hotel to guide your decision:

Food: On looking around this place doesn’t seem to have much in terms of food options. But when you do some research via Google Maps, from 3 minutes and further walking, you will find gems for meals from 50Baht and up plus all types of cuisines 10-15 minutes walk away (some with very high ratings).
Massage for women and men: similar to food options above (Google maps as reference).

Pros:
– Spacious entry level rooms
– Great location if you want to stay away from the touristy Sukhumvit area; also good for a food tour of cheap to expensive with some research (Hint: Google Maps pin for eateries)
– right next to MRT Lumpini (Blue Line) w quick connectivity to Siam/Icon Siam/BTS Skytrain Line etc
– Executive Lounge w many benefits (Club Rooms only)
– For smokers, they have one floor dedicated to smoking rooms
– Decent pool/jet pool w some view
– Decent facilities
– Decent breakfast and variety
– Some excellent staff but handful shoddy or unprofessional
– Excellent top-notch Laundry team and quality (4 pcs free daily if in a Club room)
– great bar promos (next to pool) all day at time of writing
– 24hr Convenience stores few minutes away

Cons:
– Staffing issue. Some staff were excellent, handful were shoddy or unprofessional including senior staff.
– Dated and worn for a 5-star hence only stay if the price is good and you can compromise on ultra Lux

“The hotel’s location was wonderful. However, I experienced some occasional issues during my stay. Several aspects of my experience fell short of the expected standards for a hotel of your caliber. I would like to bring the following points to your attention.

1.Check-in Process: Upon arriving at the front desk around 4:00 PM, I was instructed to wait in the lounge area. While I was waiting, I noticed guests who arrived after me being checked in. This lack of communication and inconsistent service was unprofessional.

2.Netflix Availability: I was informed that Netflix access was available in the rooms. However, when I attempted to use the service, the TV did not have the functionality. I was told that technical issues were the cause and could not be resolved. This was disappointing as Netflix access was advertised as a hotel amenity.

3.Room Cleaning: I had to request room cleaning services, which seemed unusual for a five-star hotel. I am uncertain if this is standard policy, but it was unexpected and inconvenient. “

“We originally booked for just the one night but ended up staying for two as were having a great time. The hotel is in a very good location just a minutes walk from Lumpini MTR. Lumpini Park is just a five minute walk away. The hotel is clean and tidy. The staff are wonderful, very friendly and very helpful. We also ate in the restaurant one evening as the weather was not so good, the food was very tasty. I would recommend the hotel and I would stay there again.”
