“Highly recommend”

“The diving center has excellent facilities and equipment maintenance. The dive guides are professional and the team is reassuring. The diving boat is spacious and fast. The underwater world is breathtaking with emerald blue seawater, shoals of sardines, and coral reefs that are truly captivating. The sea view rooms are spacious, comfortable, and well-equipped. Surprisingly, they even provide exquisite little combs, something that many diving resorts in the Philippines do not have. What’s particularly impressive is the comfortable and soft king-size bed measuring 1.8 meters. The staff members are enthusiastic, friendly, and provide attentive service, making you feel right at home. This has been my best diving experience, and I highly recommend it to all diving enthusiasts!”

“Overall the stay at uncle pandas was fine. It was easy to get to, a solid 5 minute walk into town and similar to the beach. The room was clean, the bed was comfy and a good size, the aircon worked (even if the condensation built up and a huge amount of water fell from it when you turned it off. Luckily nothing electronic was on the table underneath it) and they had free cold water refills- use the one upstairs because it’s actually cold.

In our opinion the price is extremely high for what you get. We paid around $115 bucks a night which was one of the higher rates we paid here in the Philippines and got much more for our stay (buffet breakfast, rooms changed, accommodation right on the beach etc). The room is nice enough, the view looks like the picture only that the plants have completely over grown so it looks a mess. The shower is right on top of the toilet so the bathroom is always completely soaked. Your room doesn’t get made up. We asked one day and they said for us to leave the door unlocked and they would do it. We felt uncomfortable doing this, so didn’t get it cleaned in the 4 nights we were there. We’re not fussy people, but having the bathroom mopped or our bathroom bin empty would have been nice, especially since toilet paper is not meant to be flushed down the toilet.

It is predominately a diving place, and maybe this is why we felt we didn’t get much communication because we did not dive. We wanted to rent some snorkels and fins one day, but they were more than double the price of what you get in town.

The breakfast was simple, but we weren’t even told upon check in about it. We missed out 2 days because no one was in reception early enough (before 8am).

I’m not sure if it was a communication thing or language barrier, and maybe we didn’t ask enough questions, but from our experiences in the Philippines we didn’t feel that welcoming presence.

In all honesty, we left feeling pretty disappointed with how much money we spent on this accommodation and for this price we would not recommend staying here. “

“My wife and I stayed here for a week. We also did some diving with this center and we would highly recommend them if you are looking to go diving in Moalboal! The staff are so friendly and down to earth. Their breakfast is simple but very good. The rooms could use a bit of maintenance but that being said, the showers were hot and the bed was comfortable. Thank you guys for a good and comfortable stay 😊”
