“Pros: very quiet at night, safe street away from the streets of bars, good shower water pressure, clean, comfortable mattress, onsen is a great perk and wasn’t too crowded. Reliable WiFi and there was coin laundry.
Cons: small rooms- wish I had upgraded to a larger room because the basic room was too small to comfortably fit 2 people. 20 minute walk to main Shinjuku station and 12 minutes to another line, which adds up. Thin pillows. Only 2 elevators so often a wait in the lobby”
“Stayed in Ryokan hotels before, the design is typical and nice but the rooms are poorly lit (difficult packing at night) and mine was dusty.
The window (a horizontal slit) is low and small so you cant enjoy the view.
The onsen is small ( two small pools) with no sauna or cold bath.
All in all, in my opinion it’s not worth the price.

“The place is tucked nicely in a hip neighbourhood at Shinjuku and the facilities are very unique!
Just head out the whole day and then go for the onsen to reset your tired day.”

“We had a long layover in Tokyo and spent the night here. We really enjoyed the Onsen and location in Shinjuku. We will book here again on our next trip and will try the restaurant on the property as the menu looked excellent and the ambiance was relaxing.”
