“Incredible Staff”
“Stayed here for three nights and it was worth every cent. Quite a walk to get here from Kyoto Train station but once you arrive, the walk is definitely worth it. The location of this ryokan is not very central to the centre of Kyoto but the walk is very nice as you get to pass all the traditional house and landmarks. Hosts are very friendly. Room is spacious and clean. There is a wooden bath tub for use in your own private bathroom but there is also a private onsen (wooden tub) for use by guests but this based on first come first serve, just let the hosts know that you would like to use the private bath and they will get it ready for you. Host’s english skills are okay, they do understand most basic phrase and words. Would definitely stay at this ryokan again when I go back to Kyoto.”
“We LOVED our stay! Beautiful room overlooking the garden, thoughtful morning breakfasts and amazing location. Did a lot of research on ryokans in Kyoto, and it exceeded our expectations. It was the highlight of our trip and we’ll be back. “

“The place was a little hard to find but once we found it, it was very nice. The staff were quick to help us out and even served us tea and sweets upon entering our room. We must have visited during the off-season because we were the only guests staying at the hotel- however, this just made our stay extra special. We were able to easily reserve a spot at the private onsen. “
