“I booked this hotel without knowing how perfect it would be for the price. It is very clean, quiet and boutique. It is for book lovers with different themes of books for each floor. I found it a perfect location with a short walk to the beautiful Kyoto train station and around the corner from a bus stop and subway stop. There’s an excellent Thai restaurant within walking distance that I loved. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at this hotel and would recommend it to solo travelers or couples.”
“I stayed two nights in Kyoto. The hotel is located close to Kujo metro station. The bus stop is just around the corner for catching buses to Gion and Kiyomizu-dera.
The hotel room was clean with all the essential facilities.
Staff was helpful and friendly. I would definitely stay here again when I am in town next.
The only downside is that the hotel is 600m south of Kyoto station so not in the CBD area.”
“Fair price, close to kyoto station and kujo station. Rooms are spacious and comfortable! Books were mostly in Japanese, a few in English and other languages. Can only recommend! 45min walk to Gion, 30 min or less to Fushimi Inari Sanctuary. Good restaurants around, Malls etc.
No daily cleaning, which I really don’t mind. I think it was every 3 or 4 days. Would definitely recommend! “
“Lovely staff, nice and quiet hotel, lots of books (all in Japanese, so only relevant if you can read), and clean rooms + common spaces. Super close to subway lines and convenience stores. I loved it and would stay again.”
