“I booked Abiz because it is a full non smoking hotel. It is located near Kawaramachi so it was easy for us to go to different places. There is a nearby bus stop as well as a beautiful starbucks facing Kamo river. Though the hotel is close to bars, security is tight and the hotel staff lets you know about it and gives each guest earbuds. We were not able to use it as our entire stay was peaceful and quiet. When you arrive, there is a short orientation of hotel policies which is also written on a paper they give to each guest. As a frequent traveller, I appreciate that they discuss everything you need to know, on point, so nothing surprises you during your stay. The staff are very helpful and kind. The room we had was spacious and the beds are very comfortable. It was always kept clean. When I return to Kyoto, we will be staying in abiz again. Thank you to the staff who waited for us as we arrived late for our checkin. “
“This hotel impressed me and my girlfriend and exceeded our expectations by miles. The room and building were both small and and compact, but everything was clean and worked without a hitch. The bathroom water pressure was great, and all the fixtures like the faucets, toilet, and A/C seemed brand new. The location was right by canal, and had plenty of izakaya and convenience stores nearby. The staff warned us about there being a night club nextdoor, but honestly neither my girlfriend nor I would have even noticed. Definitely going to book here again if I come back to Kyoto in the future!”
