“The room was a bit too small to our taste, but that is no surprise in Japan compared to Europe.
The balcony was a great benefit, although it would be nice if they had chairs to sit on.
The hotel staff was very helpful and helped us to book a taxi to take us to the train station upon departure.
Location is convenient in a quiet street with no traffic, yet close to the main attractions (Gion, Imperial Palace, Nijo Castle) and to the train station. You can easily walk or take metro which is just round the corner. “
“We stayed for 3 nights in the Garden Room (with the zen garden) which was a special feature to have as part of our accomodation.

“We stayed for three nights where the first two were in the garden facing room and the last night in the japanese style room.
The staff was very accomodating with our booking and offered to move our luggage between rooms while we were out.
Therr is also a coin laundry nearby which automatically dispenses detergent and softner which made things so much easier.
The location is also only a 20 minute walk away from the famous Nishiku Market. All in all, it was a great stay. “
“It’s a small cosy room that I booked, my daughter and us enjoyed the tatami experience. There’s everything basic you need. Host was friendly and responsive. Quiet local area that you get a chance to see the residential houses and neighbourhood, which was with style.”
