“tl;dr version – Great value for money. Place is very clean and check-in was smooth despite being unmanned. Location isn’t the best IF you’re traveling in a big group or have a lot of luggage, but you can look past it.

long version –

I booked 3 rooms for 15 people around the end of August. The rooms are pretty large and clean. It could definitely fit in more than 5 people in a room. Toiletries and slippers were also provided, which was great. Staff was responsive via email, though it’s best to connect with them through SNS e.g. Whatsapp, Viber or Line for real-time response. I tried making an early check-in arrangement since check-in was at 3PM and we arrived around 11AM. Unfortunately, they couldn’t accommodate that because it was the weekend, according to them. There was also no lobby you can wait it. However, I was able to rent out a storage room in their parking where we kept our luggage prior to checking in. Would have been great if it was free, but the price was reasonable against having to lug our stuff around until the afternoon. The staff also sent me a list of nearby restaurants and convenience stores, which was great. They’re mostly walkable distances.

Getting to and from the place was also reasonably easy since it was just a short walk away from the Streetcar (tram). The staff will email you multiple methods of getting to the place, but taking the Streetcar would entail the least amount of walking. I highly recommend getting the day pass (you ask and pay for it from the driver), which only costs 400 Yen on the weekends and 500 Yen during weekdays. The streetcar has a flat rate of 200 Yen, so if you’re going to places like Odori, Susukino, and Mount Moiwa, you’ll take the streetcar AT LEAST twice. So you get a good deal with the day pass.

However, things became quite difficult at least during our trip considering we were 15 people with at least 1 piece of luggage each. Our first and last days were pretty inconvenient since the Streetcar isn’t that big”

“Overall quite good but quite deserted area. Nearest convenience store is more than one streetcar stop away. Although most items (e.g. tissue, detergent) provided, not sufficient for 5 pax staying for 11 days and they will not replenish- not sure if was checked n enough prepared prior to check in. Downside: lacking dryer n only one toilet. Sofa bed needs to be replaced- sagging! Sufficient room space n generally clean. Staff very polite. Check in, door locks- all digital, no one around to help. So if not IT savvy, not a good choice for you!”

“The room was clean and the beds were comfortable. I appreciated the cooking facilities and laundry available in the room. Parking is for a fee but convenient because you can come and go as much as needed. It’s also a 1 minute walk from public transportation which is great.”

“Super clean! I didnt find a speck of dust anywhere around the house! Planning to stay with my family next time due to the great location, facilities and Mt. Moiwa ropeway just around the corner. You can also find convenience stores with a bit of walking and even MaxValue nearby. Best bang for your buck if you are staying long term. Totally recommended for big family or travelling with friends. Loved that everything is being ready including iron board, extra futon and updated equipments.”
