“I just want to say that all in all the room was very good. Felipe and the cleaning girls were excellent and very courteous and kind. The only problem I had is that I wish there was dish soap and a scrubby to clean the pots and pans and also the most bizarre thing was the shower curtain, having splits near the bottom which allows water to get all over the bathroom floor. In all of my 50 years I have never seen a shower curtain like that so I had to rig it in a way, to not get the floor wet. I also wish you guys would bring your breakfast back because that would really be beneficial to your guests and especially since you have all that wasted space doing nothing, but I don’t want to nitpick too much I want to give you guys a very great review and I was very skeptical at first when I first booked it all the way up until the time I walked into the room and then I was so relieved when I saw how nice the room was and it was very clean and we all enjoyed ourselves so thank you.”

“My family and I travel to the Orlando/Kissimmee area frequently and generally stay a few weeks at a time for a combination of work and pleasure. If you can catch the right rate though Upstay directly or through a third party you can obtain an excellent weeklong rate, sometimes under 600 or even less for the week. The hotel is very quiet and has a guard in the lobby at night, the pool area is more than adequate and as some of these are condos units there are even some sports facilities. If you can always go for the 2 queen suite as this suite is much larger and actually a few dollars cheaper than the king. These suites are much more comfortable and roomier than the rooms other hotels try and pass off as suites. Most of these units as mentioned above were built to be 1BR condo/apartment units.”

“I travel a lot and I usually sty in very nice hotels. I am also a Disney Pass-holder and have been for the last 10 years. When I was about 20 years younger I used to go to Universal a lot. I grew up in Sarasota and so the convenience of the parks to my location made it a no brainier.

I have stayed in $500-a-night (on Disney property) resorts and I have stayed at the Grand Cypress Hyatt Regency resort just down the street.
I decided about 10 years ago to never stay off property, because of the transportation convenience. I settled on (value for money) the Coronado Resort to be my favorite, with the Riverside Port Orleans a close second.
I had a very hard time booking Disney properties during Corona and so I was forced to book off property sites.
Usually they were very close to, if not in, Lake Buena Vista.

Sooo, long introduction…

Location: Not great. It’s closer to Orlando and right in the middle of North International Drive. It’s about 15 miles from Disney World, but it will take you an hour to drive there no matter when you leave.

Check in- it’s not an easy or quick process. This seems to be a Mom and Pop kinda place and when I came in and started checking in it took at least 30 mins. In the meantime at least a dozen different people came up and stood behind me at the front desk waiting their turn for whatever.

Elevators- It’s a 4 story building, but push the button and expect to literally wait for 5 minutes!

Space- here’s where they get it right. I was a solo traveler and it reminded me of an apartment I had when I was 20. Probably about 700 sq ft. It was clean, but a little worn down. The kitchen was decently well stocked if you feel like cooking: real plates and silverware. Pots and a few pans. A 700 hundred watt microwave and a full size refrigerator. A two burner stove top.

The TV in the living room didn’t work. I don’t watch Television and after my initial experience at the front desk, the last thing I wanted to do was change rooms.
