“Easy checkin, love the warm cookie welcome!”

“WE stayed 3 nights while I was visiting a business conference in the downtown. Many problems that disappointed me in my choice to stay at the double tree.

1. Service is slow.
2. We booked suite room (for spaciousness). But the room had numerous problems. We visited in November (when it was 10-15 degree Celsius cold), we had to shower with cold water all 3 nights. Their water system was broken.
The sofa in the suite room was dirty and had black stains. The hotel shifted us to a bigger olympic suite at the highest floor as a compensation and promised to cut the rate of the last night to half, but charged us for full stay.
The olympic suite also had issues. The AC temperature was extremely cold (at 16-18 degree Celsisus) and upon numerous requests, they were not able to fix it. We asked to close the AC, but they did not do that too. We shivered through the night and had disturbed sleep due to the extreme cold temperature in our room. The washbasin and jacuzzi tub had no water supply.
The only good thing about the olympic suite was the good panoramic view of the city and the spaciousness. But we were uncomfortable in both suites due to different multiple issues.

3. The entrance/ reception areas has a weird pungent smell of toxic chemical of sorts which can give you headaches and dizziness.

4. The spanish door man who looks after carrying luggage, ordering taxis etc asked us for tips while we checked out the hotel and tried to lure us into getting an expensive taxi ride to make money by fooling us, while uber cost half the price. DONT BUY INTO THIS GUY’s service offerings! BEWARE! I handed him $10 as a tip even though our uber driver loaded the luggage in the car and this guy was busy being a push over us to pay him a tip for his “services”.

All in all, I was highly disappointed in this hotel. I’d rate my stay 2/5 . Would not recommend Hilton in LA DT. I’d rather try Westin or Intercontinental next time. I chose the hotel due to the convenient p”

“Pros:
– 5 mins walk to metro station.
– Good location if you like asian food as they are located nearby.
– Room is big enough to put 2 large luggages lying on the floor and yet still have space to walk around.

Cons:
– Many homeless people during night time nearby the hotel
– Not many facilities for the price paid.”

“Stayed for business after flying in late to Los Angeles. Room was great, clean, everything worked fine. USB charge ports right beside bed handy. Easy checkin, love the warm cookie welcome! Would stay again. “
