“We made a last minute booking here since the resort we originally wanted turns out to be not ideal for kids.
Everything looked nice on the booking site and surely, we were impressed with our stay here. The following points are the reasons why we like it here:
1. It’s a recently opened resort (we were informed by the staff that they opened in December 2023) so everything looks modern, clean, and in perfect condition. I hope they could maintain it.
2. We booked with a discounted rate so it was really appreciated.
3. The staff are very nice and offered that we could sing at their karaoke machine in the bar area for free. The song choices are limited but for free service, we do cannot complain at all. Even the staff were singing. ☺️
4. The amenities are very good. We especially enjoyed the big pool (the small one didn’t have water). The beach is quite rocky so make sure to wear swimshoes. We struggled a little bit with the room’s soap dispenser since it wasn’t pumping very well (I guess it’s because it was used just recently). There was no water in the shower room (low water supply in Oslob according to the resort) but they sorted it out with their emergency water supply.
5. The interior design really catches your attention.
6. We only saw two other groups during our stay and at some point we felt like it was our private resort. I’m sure it will be more crowded in the future, so just glad we get to experience it that way.

I also wanted to add that following Google Maps, we took the wrong road that lead us to another resort (Lagnason’s place). Apparently, we weren’t the first ones to get lost there. Just find the W Golf Resort’s signage along the road before going inside the small roads.”

“Staff allowed an early check in at around 1230pm, much appreciated. However, I had booked a seaview room with Agoda but reception mentioned that it is reflected as a garden view room based on their records. The hotel said they always have issue with Agoda and they will give us an upgrade base on goodwill. I felt the hotel should have manage this issue better by liaising and feedback with Agoda directly and not making it our issue as base on my booking, I did pay for a seaview room.

The hotel looks new but feels cold and dark. Things seems falling apart. Sliding door to the swim area cant open properly. Soap dispenser in shower doesn’t work, no mirror outside the toilet, lots of flies at night which all ended up in the swimming pool in the next morning. Pool wasn’t clean during our stay there, filled with many died flies, bees, wasps etc. Restaurant also not really operational, menu is limited hence didn’t order any meals with them.

On our 2nd night, we came back to a room with power tripped at around 7pm. Staff said the maintenance off work at 5pm ,hence we ended up moving ur stuff to the next room in the dark.

The hotel is a good location and has a beautiful ocean front view beside the swimming pool. But a lot of work still needed on the maintenance and upkeep, and the restaurant menu.”

“The resort is so clean with a bigger than usual swimming pool in Oslob area. The staff are friendly and accommodating. They tried to cater to all our needs. They are still relatively new so a lot of improvement for the food taste is needed. But presentation is okay and the staff are good. Value for money considering their rooms are modern and water pressure is good. Recommended for family and group. “

“Our family got two rooms at W Golf Resort. Amazing staff, I believe her name was Nessie who assisted us. Accommodated our early check-in needs. Very nice and the place is safe with a guarded gate with security. Town is close by with supermarket and restaurants. Whale shark area was only about 15-20 mins away. Canyoneering was about 1.5 hrs away. I could not say anything less, we will definitely book this hotel if we go back to Oslob! Thank you!”

“The room was very comfortable and clean. They have limited menu but nevertheless it’s the best in Oslob. “
