“That sums it up.

Due to the nature of my work, I spend half of my life in hotels in different countries, but sadly, this place was maybe the roughest I can recall…except maybe a couple of hotels in France back in the 1990-s

Rough pub downstairs, with a massive disco – so loud that my bed was shaking (literally). Luckily, they stopped just after midnight though.

The carpet in the room so filthy that is not recommend anyone stepping on it with bare feet.

The bed was fine though!

No soap in the dispenser in the bathroom, floor unclean – my slippers were sticking to it (!) making funny noises! Takes ages for the water to go down from the sink.

The shower was totally fine btw.

And sure it was cheap, so you get what you pay for 🙂

“I booked this for my husband to attend an event at the NEC last weekend. I received a call from him on Friday evening saying he wished he’d stayed home! The first room had a sizeable bathroom, but the toilet was full of brown water with a toilet brush in it. The room stank. He was moved to another room, staff being very nice. Again, it didn’t smell great, though no brown toilet water. The bed had hairs all over it. When he used one of the towels to try and wipe them away, one stuck fast- no idea how long that had been there for or why it was stuck on! He covered the pillowcase in his tshirt as he was getting ready to bed down for the night. He could also hear the music from the pub below. After hearing all of this and how sad he sounded I got straight online and booked another hotel. He had no complaints about the staff. He was offered a beer as he waited his second room, but in terms of the cleanliness of the rooms, it’s a big zero unfortunately. I’m actually quite miffed that this was our first experience using agoda. I’ve never had this problem with the likes of booking.com. “

“Loved it the most favourite was they have a smart TV that actually works with full Internet access and even screen share.. Big thumbs up👍 and will most definitely be returning.. “

“Booked for a quick stop off before travelling further the next day. It didn’t give a great first impression when the doorstaff are searching some young customers for drugs as we are having a first drink after a long drive. The pub is in need of a massive deep clean as was the room we had. To be fair, the staff were excellent, very helpful and friendly. The room could be made up to a decent standard with an hours work with a bucket of water and some cleaning products, and either a good carpet shampoo or at the very least, just a good vacuum. On the up side it had a decent hanging ironing board in the wardrobe with a new iron and tea and coffee station albeit with only enough supplies to make one drink for the full overnight stay. The beds were very comfortable though. I don’t normally do reviews but this could be a gem with some effort.”
